Off The Road Again
This isn’t really much of a post. We stayed in our favorite cabin up in the mountains during the Labor Day long weekend. Normally I would have taken that time to do some hiking. However, my health situation is still preventing me from doing that. So, we did the next best thing and did a little off-roading in the jeep. Thought I would share some of the Go Pro video I shot during the ride. Fair warning – if you get queasy looking at point-of-view video (I’m thinking of you emelle) then you might want to skip it. But, hey, it might be worth upchucking for. You never know.

This was great…. not vomit inducing at all.
Love the Blue Ridge Parkway!!
Thanks! “Not vomit inducing” is what I shoot for. That would be a great blurb for a book, don’t you think?
Love my GoPro, although I don’t use it often as I should. Did you mount yours for this trip?
Great video. I enjoyed the ride!
I did mount it. For Christmas last year my wife gave me an accessories kit with all kinds of mounts in it, including a suction cup mount that you can stick to the inside of the windshield. My problem is I shoot a lot of video but then never take the time to edit it. It took me all day just to produce that 13 minute video from hours of footage. I’m glad you enjoyed the ride. We certainly did too.
I tend to shoot short bursts of video, especially when I want to post something. Our broadband speed out here in the sticks is ridiculously slow.
Lee,
WooHoo, Let the Good Times Roll! That was fun! Also, I had no idea you were a Cowboys fan! Go Cowboys! I’ve lived in the Dallas area all my life. Mona

Was born and raised in Northeast Texas until the Navy took me away. Die hard Cowboy fan! You can take the boy out of Texas but you can’t take the Texas out of the boy.
It’s official…you’ve been nominated.

You are awesome! Thanks for the shout out. I accept and I’ll post soon!
That was hilarious and fun. I’ve never been prone to seasickness–I once took a ferry ride in a storm and was one of the few people on the boat who didn’t get sick–so there was no danger of upchucking.
I was gonna say the soundtrack was the best part, especially when “Radar Love” was playing, and it was cool seeing some people out hiking, but, really, losing the Redskins antenna thingy was the best part.

My wife and I were once on a casino cruise ship that went out just far enough to be in international waters so we could gamble. We were in very rough seas and we were the only ones that didn’t get sick, including the crew. We played at any machine we wanted for four hours. Didn’t help our luck any though.
Yes, the tree swiping the antenna ball off was the best!
