The RVidiots Invade Colorado. Oh Deer!
It’s been almost a year since we were in Colorado, so I figured it might be time I posted a video about it. Colorado is just simply beautiful! We only got to explore a small portion of it for reasons you’ll see, but I can only imagine the rest of the state is amazing as well. It’s definitely on our list of places to return to. We did a lot of stuff while we were there. Some intentional, some not. I edited the video down as much as I could but it’s still pretty long at a run time of 25 minutes. If you don’t want to watch the whole thing you can go to the full YouTube site and there is a time index listed in the description with links to different parts of the video. Enjoy the Mile High (for more reasons than one) State!

Oh man, what a bummer! First the deer and then your wallet! I guess the beautiful scenery is compensation, and the fact that you could hike with all that on your mind is credit to your ‘zen-like’ temperament. I’m hoping the good outweighs the bad during this leg of the trip! Happy trails!
The good certainly outweighed the bad. To slightly misquote Arnold Schwarzenegger, we’ll be back!
Between the deer and the wallet on one hand and the beautiful views and the elk brat on the other it seems like Colorado was a mixed bag. Still those were some pretty spectacular sights, and I really liked the panoramic views. It was pretty funny that Grumpy’s didn’t have regular hours too. That seems pretty typical out there.
I have a cousin in Colorado and one of these days I’ve got to go visit him. He’s closer to Denver but a trip to Ouray would be worth it.
Christopher recently posted…A Good Day.
It would be worth it. There is also an old steam train that takes a several hours trip through the mountains. We didn’t get a chance to go, but I really want to go back and do it.
I’m still recovering from that deer, Ari! It happened so fast, my god. I am glad you were okay, and it didn’t turn into a bad accident. RIP to that poor deer. Such a huge bummer that you lost your wallet. I lost mine once right before I was scheduled to fly to England, but thankfully I still had my passport. I hope you were able to replace everything relatively quickly. I loved seeing all these places! Colorado looks beautiful and has so many different landscapes – I had no idea! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! 🙂
Great weekend! Son got married to a perfect daughter in law. Did you notice that we are doing RV life full-time now? I took your advice and we made the leap! Hope things are going well with you.
