Eagly Is My New Spirit Animal
Have you heard about the DC series called Peacemaker? It’s about a quasi-superhero that is kind of a jizz waffle. He was in the second Suicide Squad movie and played by John Cena. I’m not a big fan of the former pro faux wrestler turned actor. His character in the movie was very dislikable and dislike I did. So when I heard there was going to be a series about him I filed that one under No Thanks, Next!
Then I started hearing really good reviews about the show, but even then I didn’t pull the trigger. Not until I was listening to a pod cast that had one of my favorite writers, Stephen King, as a guest where he said he loved the show, did I think about giving it a try. In the end, my sister and I were trying to find a new series to watch when we decided to just try the first episode for shits and giggles.
After one episode I was hooked and we binged the whole thing in two days. Eagly is the main reason I got hooked. He is Peacemaker’s pet eagle and he is so cool! No, it’s not a real eagle, CGI all the way, but still, an eagle that gives hugs? Pure gold! The rest of the cast is pretty good too. I was expecting to not like John Cena in this, but the way he doesn’t take him self seriously made me enjoy his performance. The dialogue is also filthy in a funny way, so you know this unsophisticated cog is going to like it.
So, if you are looking for some raunchy funny stuff to watch, try it out. You can’t go wrong with an eagle that drops dead animals at your feet to cheer you up when you are feeling sad.
This intro is pretty hilarious too!

Looks like it would be enjoyable except for the fact that it’s on a streaming network I don’t subscribe to. I hate TV these days – they advertise the greatest ‘coming attractions’ and then it turns out to be on a pay-for channel. Humbug.
Hope you’re feeling well and enjoying watching all the stuff you never had time to do before. Please keep us advised as to the upcoming steps you are taking before the big event.
Just a waiting game now. I have a go bag packed and my cell phone me at all times for when I get the call. The odds this early into it are not good but get better as time passes. They still predicted it could take up to a year for a liver to become available.
I’m not a superhero/Marvel fan, and I already have a cat who drops dead mice at my feet…. but an eagle hug would be pretty sweet.
IKR? An eagle could probably get that pesky squirrel for you.
